I think the real question is. We're the zero tests written before the code wasn't that will tell us if TDD was used because if it wasn't then this library should be abandoned for no reason other than non compliance with a set of beliefs.

Differentiate the numerator, differentiate the denominator, then take the limit. Careful how fast you do that though; you could end up in the l'hopital.
