Rhythm?

Hey Ben, I have catecophony running...and I'm wondering, is there an ideal setting to recreate a drum loop from say, a corpus of 808 sounds? I've tried different settings, but I can't quite get what I have pictured in my head. There is definitely rhythm.
Is there a way of matching kicks to kicks, hihats to hihats....etc in catecophony?
Or would this require a different method?
