tmpdir issue

In trying to build a reference database with:
diamond makedb --in rsnc.0627.2024.faa -d nr.dmnd --taxonmap prot.accession2taxid --taxonnames names.dmp -taxonnodes nodes.dmp
I received:
Error: Invalid parameter count for option '--tmpdir'
I don't see the tmpdir option in any online sources. What am I doing wrong?
