nixnote autostarting on system boot
skytwosea opened this issue · comments
Hi,
Very pleased with Nixnote2, except I cannot figure out how to stop it from running on system boot.
Ubuntu 19.10, kernel 5.3.0.51
KDE Plasma 5.16.5
nixnote does not appear in my ~/.config/autostart or autostart-scripts folders.
I have disabled sync on startup & shutdown
What should I try next?
Thanks
You can try uninstall "nixnote 2.0" and install "nixnote 2.1" as the 2.0 is not supported anymore.
See: https://github.com/robert7/nixnote2/releases
I don't remember how exactly auto start on NixNote was done in 2.0, but I guess it was some "NixNote*.desktop" file somewhere. I removed the autostart in 2.1 as it was not stable.
There should be also Option in Preferences, so it may be enough to deactivate the option.
If reinstall to 2.1 doesn't help then you may try to search for startup file e.g. by find / |grep -i nixnote|grep desktop
(a bit brute force, but it could work :) )
