Login not possible anymore

Describe the bug
The upload suddenly stopped working. After about 30min of watching the "processing" notificcation for a 2 page document I logged off my paperless-ngx instance and tried to relogin.
This fails. Details see screenshots
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Log off
- Add account
- enter hostname
- enter user/pass
- error occures
Expected behavior
Login and scanupload works again

Paperless App Version: 2.3.9
Paperless-ngx Version: Paperless-ngx 1.16.5
Do you use Paperless NG as a backend: No
