Authentication Failed : Login credentials are invalid

I am getting this with Username: admin and Password: changeme as documented in the readme. This is from a binary installation of the v0.30.03 release.
Actually I fixed this by adding a 127.0.0.1 setting for hostname in /etc/hosts:
127.0.0.1
Without that we get:
