Problem

Allowing strictly Slack and PagerDuty as a way for users to receive alerts is a limiting factor for alert consumption/ingestion.

Solution

Implementing a configurable, optional SNS client for publishing events will enable users to receive emails and SMS messages, and create custom automation pipelines to ingest alerts upon heuristic triggers.
