No, no screenshots. That's why I linked to Apple's technical documentation which describes what the domain is needed for. I don't have anything more official.
In our corporate network it was released by corporate security with the note: "Needed for Appstore and iOS updates".
While testing the Pro, I stumbled across this domain,

I have whitelisted xp.apple.com in the home network in NextDNS.
xp.apple.com is fine blocked it doesn’t effect anything

In fact blocking it seems to prevent macOS XProtect to update.
