Toolbar only appears by work around

Although I never have a hook on "Hide toolbar" at the start of the program, the toolbar won't appear until I go to "preferences" and set a hook on "Hide toolbar" and then reset the hook, It is the same behaviour in version 0.19.0 and 0.20.0 of JSkat. I didn't report this before, because I saw this problem together with other problems of version 0.19.0.
I tried to reproduce the behavior with no success. I set the option in the properties to true or false or even deleted the property. JSkat always showed the right value in the GUI and behaved as expected.

Could you share the content of your JSkat properties file from the path <user.home>/.jskat/jskat.properties and your screen size please?
