react-slider doesn't display initial value properly

It only shows the saved volume level after a re-render.
I tried creating a PoC but the PoC works properly: https://codesandbox.io/s/frosty-rosalind-z011e. Not sure why this one is not working until a rerender.
Probably just going to replace react-slider.
