Folder path with spaces causes generate to fail

It seems as though a folder path that includes space, like C:\Users\Kevin Weeks\... causes generate to fail.
The error I get is:
Cannot write to C:/Users/Kevin/index.html (No such file or directory)
I'm confirming the same problem on Mac, with the error
sh: -c: line 0: syntax error near unexpected token (' sh: -c: line 0: wget --recursive --convert-links --page-requisites --no-parent --directory-prefix /path/containing some/spaces/static --no-host-directories --restrict-file-name=unix http://127.0.0.1:2368'
