Create a new method of setting summaries to specify which results are returned for numeric data

set_format_strings() is currently the location where returned results are specified. To support tlang, we need to allow for another method of setting which summaries will be calculated.
#63 covers this with set_summaries() - this will live in a successor, so closing.
