This is awesome! Thank you for all of your hard work.

Hi there -- just because of your installer tweak for Win7, I'm actually going to get myself one of these Elgato units. So thanks for providing this in the first place!

Problem is, I have no idea about coding -- reading your info on the ElgatoLegacy page and on the /wiki sub page, I have a feeling that I'm missing some things that may be totally obvious to someone who is less of a noob like me. Hope I'm not being too much of a pain asking this, would really want to do it right in order to be able to actually use that thing ;-)

On the ElgatoLegayc main page, you mention installing Visual Studio and some extras, as a prerequisite to "compile the project". I'm not sure what that means, but I guess it implies some additional action related to what you write in the /wiki?
There, (if I got it right) you explain how to extract the StreamDeck install files manually, and, WHILE running your ElgatoLegacy file, copy them to the final location?
However, the downloaded "ElgatoLegacy v1.0.0.3" folder contains three different .dll files, so which one would I run using Win7? And would "run" mean simply executing the file, or is this where "compiling the project within Visual Studio" would come in?

Thank you so much and please excuse my ignorance ;-)

On the ElgatoLegayc main page, you mention installing Visual Studio and some extras, as a prerequisite to "compile the project".

This is only needed if you plan to manually compile the project. The release page has prebuilt files you can use immediately if you are not interested in manually compiling. https://github.com/atom0s/ElgatoLegacy/releases

As for installation the wiki covers that: https://github.com/atom0s/ElgatoLegacy/wiki

You need all the files included to be placed into the StreamDeck software folder after extracting it manually, as mentioned on the Wiki.

Thanks for the prompt clarification - that bit about the manual compiling got me confused indeed.
Software working & looking good, so... kudos!
Will be leaving you a little something, too.
;-)

One more thing - I would need to install some extras, such as MIDI capability (will be using this to control audio software), but this doesn't seem to be working from within StreamDeck now? Going to "further actions", upon selecting the MIDI component and clicking install, nothing happens...?

UPDATE: Eventually, it seems I was able to add the MIDI component, but when I tried to apply it (e.g. create an action), the software crashed, and now it won't even start up properly. =(
Could you please advise here...?

Thanks again =)
