Remove huge whitespace below head

Not so important really, but I can't see why it's happening.
e.g. below the <header> tag on view-source:http://asyncjs.com/functional/
It's happening because Liquid doesn't strip out newlines around tags which sucks, in loops this is exacerbated even further. I spent a long time trying to tidy up the HTML output, then I made peace with it.
