How to customize email subject?

Right now, Helpful puts an automated and generic subject for all mails, such as "New message for @accountname".
Can I savely change this in line 22 in app/controllers/incoming_messages_controller.rb or will this break anything?
Also, is it possible to get individual subjects, that either come from a inbound mail or a field in the submission form?
