Some kerning temporarily lost due to either Kern-On or a Git Merge

The situation:
- We are testing Kern-On as a way to kern the Shantell Sans source file
- Last week, most kerning was in place, and Anya made a proof to check what was missing or needed edits
- After merging work, kerning now seems to be mostly lost
- I had also applied auto-alignment to glyphs, and maybe this erased kerning?
- Git diffs or regular text diffs are useless for comparing a Glyphs file at two states, so usual methods won’t work well. Merge Glyphs is somewhat helpful, but seems prone to crashing....
Checking the two files, I can indeed see that the newer version (on the left in the image below) is missing kerning for many pairs that were previously kerned:
The groups are similarly decimated in the newer file.
My current guess is that I ran Kern-On last Friday after our weekly meeting, and maybe it was stopped or crashed before finishing. I’ll see if I can accept the previous kerning in Merge Glyphs.
Oh, but annoyingly, if I want to merge the old file into the new, I would have to repeat those steps for each master. It may be faster to simply revert to the old version, and repeat auto-alignment work.
