When trying to convert the book i receive the error message attached

For calibre 6, use DeDRM 10.0.9: https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools/releases/tag/v10.0.9

What you're attempting to convert is not a book file. Install Adobe Digital Editions and authorize it with an Adobe ID. Then open the acsm file with ADE to download the epub or pdf. Import that into calibre.
