Password field not recognized for signin.att.com

Attempting to log in at https://signin.att.com, the password manager fills in my user name in the first page, but on the subsequent page that prompts for my password, the password field is not recognized.

On further investigation, this is an artifact of using an external keyboard on an iPad. In this case, the UI behaves different so it's hard to know where to click to get the password.
