SleepSampleKotlin doesn't work on Wear OS 3

The app doesn't track anything at all on watch. Was it supposed to work on the watch at all? If not, are there any analogues?
If it'll be helpful, here's the repository, clone of SleepSampleKotlin repo, with some changes required by watch.
Environment:
Device: Fossil Gen 6
Wear OS: 3
Android SDK: 30
