Darius Extra Plays Music Incorrectly

On the latest firmware, Darius Extra's music plays wrong and sounds like it's missing notes. Music plays correctly on previous firmware. MD Mini Darius uses a different sound engine and doesn't have this issue.
Yes, the sound is messed up.
Will this be fixed?? Been a known problem for a long time...
I can report the same issue using firmware 4.9 and an original cartridge from Columbus Circle (Japan release). On previous firmwares, it was working fine.
