mpv --hwdec=auto cannot play videos recorded with wf-recorder 0.4.1

Hey,
videos recorded with wf-recorder 0.4.1 do not play anymore with mpv --hwdec=auto
. if I run mpv --hwdec=auto-safe
then everything is fine.
I can reproduce by running wf-recorder without any parameters (i.e. $ wf-recorder
).
Error log

I can't pinpoint exactly when this started (or if it's related to other Debian package updates). I suspect the latest changes in the default video encoding in wf-recorder.
In case I can provide more debug logs using mpv --msg-level=<module1=level1,module2=level2,...>
(but I need some tips on which module to debug).
Thanks
Closing because I cannot reproduce anymore (same wf-recorder
version, just updated who knows what in the meantime).
