How to configure ScienceParse to make it work for PDFs

The Science Parse server works very well for most of the PDF structured contents, but is it possible to make it also work for the Word Documents?
Why not convert your word document to pdf first?
How did you get it to work with PDF's? Did you need to configure it to work with amazon?
