Windows become unmaximized after screen lock

cwells opened this issue · comments

Specifically, VSCode and Slack. Not a huge deal, but weird. I maximize both windows, and if I lock/unlock the screen, they'll become unmaximized. Native GNOME apps appear unaffected.

I've disabled other extensions (specifically Unite) to see if it was due to a conflict, but the problem persists.

Fedora 38/GNOME 44.2/Wayland

did exactly same, problem still persists

@cwells did you find anything?

I'm having the same problem in Gnome 45

Same behavior here (with Ardour), with Fedora 39 and GNOME 45.5.

I've noticed the same thing too, culprit was this extension. KiTTY was another app that showed this un-maximizing behavior.

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, GNOME Shell 46.0: not only happens after screen locks, but also happens after "screen blanks" (the setting responsible for them is attached below). Putting the device to sleep without locking it, however, does not cause this behavior
