will there ever be a category system like SponsorBlock has

ive been using sponsorblock for years and i just bought dearrow and its cool and all but one thing i liked about SB was that i could choose which categories i wanted to skip and which ones i didnt.

it would be cool if, when submitting a title, or maybe just as a tag you can put on the video, you could set a category the video title is in

Access Glitch Worlds in Super Mario Bros. via NES Tennis -> Access glitch worlds in super mario bros. by reading RAM values saved from NES tennis

is sort of an unneccessary title to change for my tastes while

Japan Is Still Making Fun Of It -> The Best Bad Anime | Chargeman Ken
The Wario Game That Nobody Played... -> [there is no dearrowed title yet]

is a way more reasonable change

in addition this proposed category system could also include categories to, say, demystify fake/ARG "found spongeboy ahoy 1997 footage" or whatever type things so people who want serious content can choose to filter that and people who like immersion in ARGs can choose to not filter it

ideas for categories (not to be exact on what they should be just a rough idea):

  • completely clickbait ("I Can't Continue Like This..." [video telling you to subscribe to patreon])
  • ARG ("SpongeBoy Ahoy 1997 Footage Found VHS" [video is made up and presented as real as an ARG-type thing])
  • vague ("Descriptiveness" category on DA guidelines such as "The Snowflake Mystery" → "Creating artificial snowflakes and analyzing their growth")
  • [dont know how to describe this] (in "Questions" category on DA guidelines, "Is X better than Y?" → "Comparing X and Y")

by default they can all be set to change the title. maybe this can work for thumbnails too

and its fine if this isnt accepted (it might end up being a bit confusing?) but i thought i would throw this out there for consideration

I think this is definitely a topic to discuss (we've had this discussion several times on discord), but I don't think "categories" in the way SponsorBlock implements them is necessarily the answer.
