Different names in the packages

What's the reason to the different names in the packages? It should be libsdl2-2.0-0 instead libsdl2, or the PPA will not update the packages already installed. Same problem with libsdl2-image, libsdl2-mixer, libsdl2-ttf and libsdl2-net. Only the dev packages are updated.

I got a lot of errors here... there is no way to purge libsdl2-2.0-0 first, it'll purge a lot of programs here.

Man, programs expect to find libsdl2-2.0-0 in the system. Does someone manages to use your PPA?

I left the names unchanged from the original Debian package specs that shipped with SDL itself, so it sounds like it changed at some point and I never noticed. I definitely would prefer them to match what's currently in Ubuntu.

To be honest, I'm surprised anybody's using the PPA anymore -- it was set up originally to bridge the gap until a stable SDL2 was included in Ubuntu. The SDL2 versions in the PPA are almost a year old now.

It appears that Ubuntu Precise never got a version of SDL2. I found your PPA while trying to get GZDoom to compile via Travis CI's new container system, which uses Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS. Is it possible you could update this to the latest version and include libsdl2-dev?
