This reduces the number of clicks you need to spent on removing the search tags irrelevant to your actual search target
Rather than having to unclick all the things you don't want, you only have to click the one or two things you do
I think a better idea would be to hide all other categories by eg. clicking twice on a category. I'll see about doing that
That works as well, though I'd be slightly concerned that isn't very intuitive. Click the thing(s) you want seems like the default people go with, while double click the things you want, single click those you don't seems less intuitive to me
I worry that people wouldn't realise they can double click, and so it doesn't get used
