Dolphin: Wii Extention switcher

MatthijsMarco opened this issue · comments

Some Wii games automatically detect which controller mode they'll use based on if the Nunchuck is (virtually) connected or not. A hotkey for this would be a nice addition, similar to the sideways toggle. I didn't find any sign of an available hotkey in Dolphin itself, so I don't know if this is possible on RetroDECK's side.
Appreciate all the work you do!

There is no way to do that in Dolphin but we could maybe do a configurator tool for it

WiimoteNew.ini

Remove or add the line:
Extension = Nunchuk

At the end of [Wiimote1], [Wiimote2], [Wiimote3], [Wiimote4]

The following Extension's are available:

image

Extension = Nunchuk
Extension = Classic
Extension = Guitar
Extension = Drums
Extension = Turntable
Extension = uDraw
Extension = Drawsome
Extension = TaTaCon
Extension = Shinkansen

How Dolphin works it removes entire Extension = line when the value is none

So this should just be expanded into a Extension switcher for Dolphin that can switch out all of the

[Wiimote1]
[Wiimote2]
[Wiimote3]
[Wiimote4]

One mass update that changes all or a settings that can point change them individually to different extensions example when you want to play Rock Band or Guitar Hero backups and want different instruments
