There's been a lot of changes in the past month with this plugin for compatibility for the newer versions of Gutenberg but the last build .zip was from October.
Since WP5 is publicly available and Automattic is strongly encouraging users to embrace Gutenberg, it's imperative that the examples to learn about Gutenberg are up to date and relatively easy to access.
New release with compatibility for WP 5.0 published https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg-examples/releases
