Damselfly is a server-based Photograph Management app. The goal of Damselfly is to index an extremely large collection of images, and allow easy search and retrieval of those images, using metadata such as the IPTC keyword tags, as well as the folder and file names. Damselfly includes support for object/face detection.

Baskets as albums?

The basket function could be used to give album-like functionality (yes, you can create as many as you like) but it would get pretty unwieldy pretty quickly with the current UI. The data model and functionality kinda does almost exactly what you need, I suppose. If there was a page where you could go to something like 1. http://damselflyIP:6363/?basket=Christmas and it would show all the pics in a timeline it would be 90% of the way there.

Albums would also need user permissions to allow different users to be able to access different sets of albums.
