Polybar disappearing when using mons
SethGower opened this issue · comments
Whenever I use mons on my laptop, either to extend or duplicate, it makes my polybar bars disappear. I have no idea why this is happening.
Output of mons -v

Hello @SethGower,
thanks for the feedback.
Could you give some details about your system ? (Kernel, Distro, WM)
Does mons interfere in a just-post-installed polybar display ?
Are you using the mons daemon, mons -a
?
Have you tested with another WM ?
Output of uname -a
: Linux daedalus 4.17.2-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Jun 16 11:08:59 UTC 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I am using i3-gaps. Output of i3 --version
: i3 version 4.15-19-g2c1d8c4a (2018-03-11, branch "gaps-next") © 2009 Michael Stapelberg and contributors
No, I don't use mons -a
, and I haven't tested with another wm. I don't know what you mean by just-post-installed. Do you mean the example bar?
Thanks @SethGower.
By just-post-installed, I mean fresh installed and basic settings (no custom one).
Ok, it works with the example on a fresh install, but not with my configuration. I don't know what I did that would break it, but my configuration is located here
It worked when I removed line 11
