How to get and show the cover image in PHP

Trying to find out how I get the cover picture and show it on the webpage. Can't figure it out yet. Someone has an example?

Some are showing covers and some not even when the cover.jpg is existing.
I just tested a few more epubs and gladly some covers showed up :)
