I just want to run CS2 with HLAE, which use exe format. For getting exe file I need to run CS2 with Proton, but game crash

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open properties of CS2
  2. Choose version of Proton in "Compability" (I tryed Experimental, 9.0 (Beta), 8.0, 7.0, 6.3, 5.13, 5.0, 4.11, 4.2,)
  3. Run CS2
  4. Crash CS2 and get message "failed to initialize the steamworks sdk no steamclient021" or just crash with empty message like on screenshot

Hello @lipusik, running the Windows variant of Counter Strike 2 on Linux is not supported on this issue tracker. Unofficially, you can use the compatibility report for the game on the Proton issue tracker to discuss how the game behaves when run with that configuration.
