Irregular micro-interruptions with 786432 (unrestricted) bandwidth on my 50MBPS

Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): 1714854927
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Pardus 23.1 debian based (kernel 6.6.13+bpo-amd64)
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. Please link any large code pastes as a Github Gist

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Since an CS2 update about 2 months ago, when ever I select 786432 (unrestricted) bandwidth on my 50MBPS in the rate settings, I get irregular micro-interruptions. However, between the micro-interruptions , the game runs smooth until the next interruptions . I expect no lags.
I can't no longer play with rate 786432 (unrestricted)
  2. When I select 4MPBS and use rate 524888, then I can play without irregular micro-interruptions. But with the reduced rate, the gameplay is smooth yet the whole gameplay is bad and feels delayed.

It seems that your updates and work on the game do not lead to improvements but rather to additional problems, such as those mentioned.

I also experience lag on high rates with a 1400 Mbps connection. I have to keep the limit at 1Mbps or it's basically unplayable. No other games have lag issues except CS2.
