[macOS] Dota 2 Performance on MBP 2017, 13.6.7 os, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB

Memory: 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
macOS: 13.6.7
I am aware that I am using an older MacBook Pro to run Dota 2. I am about to start graduate school and do not have the necessary funds to upgrade to a desktop.
Before I updated to Ventura OS, I could play Dota 2 quite smoothly on the High Sierra OS, albeit some FPS issues. Once I updated to a newer OS, Dota 2 can hardly run. I have tried a ton of different login properties from other issue threads, but none have seemed to work. I partitioned my drive, went back to High Sierra OS, and now that does not work either.
Am I cooked? Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much.
