Permalinks are fugly

Maybe use Google URL Shortener API to get a short link? And use that in the URL like:

http://musicroutes.com/?l=abcdefg

redirects to

http://goo.gl/abcdefg

which redirects to the actual permalink? That's a lot of redirecting, but you know, so it goes...

You'll also need to have the permalink rewrite itself.
