This is usually a Windows bug when you've recently updated your graphics driver. Does the issue persist after rebooting?

im having same issue on Windows 11, Intel Iris Xe igpu - acrylic seems to just set taskbar to clear

I start to experience this problem since today after Windows Update 11 22h2.
Transparency works but acrylic not.
All the options work except acrylic :(

I had the same problem, I went to win11-personality settings-color-transparency on and it solved the problem, thanks a lot!

Do you mean "transparency effects" in the settings app? That doesn't work.

I Have the same issue, on a Intel HD 520 "Graphics card" The driver hasn't updated or anything.

Hello,
I'm in more or less the same situation under Win 11 23H2... except that the problem arises for both transparency and acrylic.
If I (re)start the program, the desired effect is there, and if I do a reboot without doing anything, it's still there even after reboot.
If, on the other hand, I open an explorer or program window and close it, the taskbar becomes opaque. On reboot, the transparency or acrylic effect appears for a very brief moment, then the bar reverts to opaque black (white if transparency is deactivated in Windows color settings).).
At this point, if I quit Translucent and relaunch it, the desired effect is there again.
If I want to switch from one effect to another, I have to quit and relaunch.

I have same issue, win11 23H2 , 22631.3155, and AMD GPU, I have tried reboot reinstall but it also unavalible

Hi i had the same issue just now after the last windows update and i just solved it, so the last windows update somehow managed to link the TranslucentTB "transparency" behaviors to the windows transparency under "Personalization / colors / transparency effects" make sure its on if it works good, if it doesn't do a clean app installation.

Also if you used the app called "zVIVE" before to get it working (check on downloads for a zip file called "vivetool" to see if you already have it) if you did run this code "cd c:/C:\zVIVE" under "admin cmd" then use "vivetool /enable /id:26008830" to re-enable (this will undo the last time you ran that code) then just restart your pc and it should work, but if it doesn't and the app doesn't do anything run the code again but instead of being "enable" type "disable" and restart again.

running the enable code then turning on the transparency solved it for me. I hope this helps

(and just in case, before running and making any type of change i did tried turning the transparency control on and off with restarts in between but noting till i decided to run the enable code for me) if you can find a different solution type it down for documentation :3
