now fixed in polymer - YAY

However, we need to check when it was fixed in Polymer and update to at least that level of Polymer code (via our git submodule) otherwise the fix won't appear here. I'm reopening this and assigning to me to remind me to do so -- but if you know when (version number or GitHub commit) it was fixed in Polymer, please let me know.

OK; looks like my work is already done (it was fixed before we switched to the submodule) :-).
