Native Resolution for other versions of GTA

Could this patch be modified to work on other versions of the game? I'm using a moded Japanese version of GTA Liberty City Stories for translations. Thank you!
Also official 1.2 vereion is not supported
By the looks of it, the EU versions of the games are not compatible, either, e.g. my legit EU copy of Liberty City Stories from PSN
