When you are on full screen, the only way to turn to portrait mode is by clicking on the side icon in the bottom right, so "sliding" the video down keeps the phone locked in tablet mode..
As an example if you enable settings/video_and_audio/start_main_player_in_fullscreen , you can't slide the video down to return to portrait mode, the phone stays rotated.
