are DMG installation for Mac M1 and command line switches compatible?

I downloaded the V1.01 DMG for Mac M1 from (https://sandlab.cs.uchicago.edu/fawkes/files/1.0/Fawkes-m1.dmg) and installed it. Unfortunately the command line switches do not appear to be supported using /Applications/Fawkes.app/Contents/MacOS/Fawkes
I also do not see anything under the Fawkes menu for preferences or these settings.
And I don't see the source repository for the macOS application that could have a PR opened for it.
