Can't bulk edit artist without editing album artist

I'm trying to bulk edit multiple hundred songs from the same artist under one correct artist tag. However if i touch the artist field it automatically writes the same thing on the album artist field, which isn't right. There are different albums with different album artists (like compilations etc.) I just want to edit the artist and leave the album artist as "mixed". Is this possible?
This used to be possible, but it seems this has been broken for quite some time now. I just fixed it in version 0.3.5 (ce87a2a).
In 0.3.6 I have made it so that the message "Matching album artists will be kept in sync." will only be displayed when relevant.
