Database URL resolves to local IP

Hello, I've a .env file with the specific database url:
DATABASE_URL="mysql://username:password@my-server-url:3306/database

for some reason, when I run kysely-codegen it gives me the following error:
sqlMessage: "Access denied for user 'root'@'{{ my ip }}' (using password: YES)",

I'm not sure why it's using my IP to connect to db instead of actual ip as set in the .env
