Why when I update the "LOADING" text to something else it doesn't update on the webpage?

Hi I'm learning javascript/react/flask and I used your code and tutorial and it worked! thanks. But for some reason I go to change the "LOADING" text on the front page...it doesn't change. Do you have that problem? Am I misunderstanding something? It's probably something basic.

edit: I have a CORS error even though I have commented it on deployment and not really sure how to resolve that.
