Let's define a roadmap

Hey,

The project is born recently and contributions are welcome but we don't know the direction to follow. Could we define the roadmap about first steps to reach?

Have a great day!

That's definitely a good idea. What I propose is to put in place the foundation* (this weekend) and then we can draft the roadmap.

Foundation* means getting the basic self service concept of Torii working with the frontend and backend. This will be perfect to help people grasping how to contribute around.

I created this roadmap - I'm not a big fan on how GitHub represents this but it's still better than nothing. I can give you access if you have ideas of things to do. We can also review cards to prioritize.

Thanks for your invitation! I will wait for your foundations as you called them and then we could talk about the vision for the next step (maybe define required step for the MVP)

Hey Romaric,
Hope you are well!
Could you define what you expect for the execution workflow for instance?

I still do not understand well where you want to go. I know a few backstage so I could contribute to do the same but for now I guess you are doing a "function executor dashboard", like you define scripts with entry parameters and trigger them from the dashboard.

To determine if we can help you I guess we need at least:

  • Better definition of what you want to build (maybe with exemples)
  • Define "good to start to contribute tasks"

Have a great day!

Hey @Tchoupinax 👋🏽 ,

I'm working on the workflow engine and finishing a few pieces from the web UI - I want to show off the basic concept and then clarify the next steps. Next week, I'll be good to clarify all of that :) I'm almost done with the basic stuff I needed to do.

I'd be happy to jump on a quick shared screen session to pre-show you what I've done. Contact me over Linkedin or Twitter.

I want to contribute to the front-end of the project once I completely understand the project workflow. It will be exciting working on this one 🚀

How is this going? I just read the articles on a better alternative to Backstage, and it resonated with me deeply. I have been banging my head for a few weeks on Backstage and to be honest, it is quite frustrating. I love the ideas @evoxmusic shared in his article about what a better alternative could look like.

I would love to contribute. How can I?
