Previewing selected files in the Open- and Save-File dialogs do not work with some softs

LaurentGrenet opened this issue · comments

In some cases (but I don't know exactly when), previewing of selected files in the Open- and Save-File dialogs do not work.

It is in particular the case of dialogs opened by the 32 bits version of UltraEdit.
I imagined it could be linked to the 32 bits / 64 bits, and it is actually the case for a lot of 32 bits applications, but I have nevertheless some softs running in 32 bits that are nevertheless working fine with QuickLook (from this standpoint).

Running QuickLook 3.7.3 Portable on W10 Pro 22H2 19045.3803

May I ask why you chose not to use the issue template? Is there a technical limitation that it wasn't even offered, or did you deliberately choose a blank issue?

Hi,

yes, "bug template" was offered, but it did not add anything, nor bring any more valuable information to my direct description... It's the reason why I completely erased it before giving my description.

If you are annoyed with that, pls find below the same description "inside the template"
And I agree, one information was actually missing in my wording : the QuickLook version used. (added below and above)
But only this one.

For all's convenience, please use English to fill this issue.
I'm afraid I did it....

Please search within existing issues before the submission. Has this issue already been reported?
Several other issues report "similar" bug, but none of them is mentioning the 32/64 bits parameter, so it's the reason why I chose to create a new bug report, because I'm convinced that the key of the bug is there....
