Whitelist/better option for removing links re Markdown checker errors

The markdown check constantly fails checks because links are either not reachable or error out, so solved this, we currently disable the markdown checks for link(s).

We should come up with a better option such as a whitelist, etc.

This seems to mostly be fixed now. Closing this. If it comes up again, I will reopen.
