submission mining does not pop up

taianaselbach opened this issue · comments

Describe the Bug
When I try to send my submission, it uploads everything and then just flashes the message "submission waiting to be mined" and nothing happens. The metamask extension does not pop up to sign and pay the gas fee.

Expected Behavior

Device and Browser Information
Chrome
MacOS 11.6
Metamask extension

Also experiencing similar behavior when attempting to submit a profile. No prompt for deposit/gas is provided by MetaMask after the files in the submission are uploaded.

To Reproduce
Submit profile application with Ethereum address successfully connected through MetaMask. Ethereum address is loaded from Trezor Model T connected through MetaMask. All required fields and attachments are included. Site remains on the same page but scrolls to the top after attachments upload. No prompt for deposit payment is observed for self-funding and no indication of completing the ceremony is seen if crowd-funding is selected. No indication of the profile's submission is observed when searching for either username or Ethereum address used for the profile. This has been observed on two different PCs using three different operating systems and two browsers.

@annemnemosyne Thank you for reporting this.

  1. How long time did you wait after pressing the "Submit" button? In my experience there is a long delay before MetaMask pops up (15-20 seconds or so).
  2. Do you see any error messages in the JavaScript console?

Another thing that you could try is refreshing without cache (Ctrl + F5) @annemnemosyne

Has anyone been able to solve this?
