A crucial point in all of this is the location of the WHCDC. Different sources give different locations, ranging from 300 meters to 3 kilometres distance to the market. This should be investigated by experts on e.g. GNSS location services and people who know details about the general uncertainty of mapping services like google maps in China.

If the 300 Meter distance is correct, the WHCDC will come into focus of the international press. As a random coincidence it is almost astronomically unlikely that a spillover event in the wild will lead to an outbreak practically on the doorstep of one of 2 institutes in China having corona viruses stored in their labs and actively manipulating them.
