I accidentally made a vox

When trying to apply the cyborg head to a chasis with a cyborg torso and one left leg, it prompted me to choose a species and a name. I selected vox and named it Beebo Prime, because I wanted to see what would happen, and it made this.
Normally I would expect a cyborg head to be added to the chasis, and to continue on building a cyborg.
What actually happened was the head and the torso were 'consumed' and it made a 'vox' prosthetic which is just a pitch black body with a vox tail and beak.
Steps to reproduce:
apply a torso (empty) to a standard robot chasis.
Apply a left leg
Wire and install a cell into the torso.
Apply a head with two synthetic flashes
You should then be prompted by a menu asking you what race you want this prosthetic to be. It offers all races. Then you will be prompted to name it.
I was mistaken actually! I tried to recreate the bug and it turns out if you just use the head on the torso without attaching it to the chasis, that's when you're able to make a prosthetic body like this.
This one was a Promethean prosthetic.
It hasn't consumed the items this time though? Not sure if that's just because it's a promethean?
