Broken post links are federating to Mastodon, possibly due to title changes on posts

I followed the blog https://fediverse.blog/@/flockingbird/ via Mastodon.

When I looked at the posts on that account within Mastodon, most of them have broken links, so it is impossible to open the actual post.

For example, the post https://fediverse.blog/~/Flockingbird/flockingbird-as-your-address-book within Mastodon links to https://fediverse.blog/~/Flockingbird/adding-people-to-your-contacts/ which is a broken link.

Even if you search for https://fediverse.blog/~/Flockingbird/flockingbird-as-your-address-book within Mastodon, it brings up a post that links to https://fediverse.blog/~/Flockingbird/adding-people-to-your-contacts/

Judging by the similarity of the two links, I am guessing the broken link is to an early version of the same post, but the author changed the title, which then changed the URL on Plume but the original (broken) title is the one that federates to Mastodon.

  • Plume version: You can find it in the footer of your instance. If you know the exact commit, please also add it.

A solution could be:
Not change the Link, even if the title has been changed
Or
Redirect the old link to the new one, if the title has been changed.
